Membership
Categories
The
following information applies to the 2008 calendar
year.
Professional
Member $125
Professional
members are those working within the nutrition
profession and meet the educational standards
appropriate for their role delineation.
Professional—Consultant
membership is a privilege that is extended
to those who have completed one of the following:
-
graduated from a NANP approved post-graduate
program
- graduated
from a NANP approved occupational certificate
program
-
hold a Master’s Degree or Doctorate
in Nutrition or related field of study from
an accredited college or university
Professional—Educator
membership is a privilege that is extended
to those who are graduates of NANP approved
nutrition educator programs.
Professional members qualify to become Registered
with NANP. Renewal of registration will be required
every two (2) years. You must maintain your
professional membership in the NANP, professional
liability insurance and successfully document
30 continuing education units per registration
period.

is a service offered by NANP that is separate
from membership. Click

Associate
Membership $100
Is
a privilege that is extended to those who:

Are graduates of an occupational certification
program in holistic nutrition and do not meet
the educational standards for professional
membership.
- Hold
a nutrition or health-related Bachelor’s
degree from an accredited college or university.
- Are
licensed health care professionals whose scope
of practice legally includes nutritional counseling
and adheres to a natural or holistic model
of nutrition (RNs, Chiropractors, Naturopathic
Doctors).
Student Membership
$75
Is
a privilege that is extended to those who are
currently a student enrolled in a NANP approved
nutrition program. Proof of enrollment is required
along with membership application.
Contributing
Member $1,000
Contributing
members are individuals or organizations contributing
a minimum of $1000 per year. Such members are
recognized in the NANP newsletter, “The
Nutrition Professional’s Journal”
and are given a logo link on the NANP website
recognizing you as such.
