Business Name: Function Life Lab

Tell us about yourself; at the personal level?
I would consider myself an adventurer I graduated with a degree in Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal biology from The Ohio State University in 2014, and since then have worked as a waitress, 911 dispatcher, and my current position as a flight attendant for Delta airlines. I am also working towards my masters degree in Health and Nutrition Education from Hawthorn University online which is what led me to NANP!

I moved to Colorado in 2014 after graduation, and have been in love ever since. In my spare time away from traveling and schooling, I enjoy inspiring others through facebook, and blogging (website soon to be live!), and am working towards opening my own practice (function life lab) where I can help others achieve their highest potential. I also enjoy anything and everything outdoors, and would say my motto would be “Listen to your body”.

What led you to the health and wellness industry?
I have always been interested in nutrition and the health industry in general, as a soccer player for the majority of my life, I learned from a very early age that the foods I ate played a crucial part in how I performed on the field. Ever since then I guess you could say I have experimented in all types of eating styles, really just listening to my body, and noticing how my diet really affects my life. Knowing that diet has such an important part in how we feel and act, I feel it is my job now to educate others on how they can realize this for their own lives.
