Nutrigenomics for the Advanced Practitioner with Anne Pemberton MSc, PGCHE, PGCE (Autism), RGN, Dip ION

A genome is an organism's complete set of genetic instructions needed to build that organism and allow it to grow and develop. The human genome is comprised of approximately 3 billion base pairs of DNA.

In the past many people mistakenly assumed that the presence of a certain gene or single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) meant they were destined to experience the associated disease. However, most genes have flexible expressions and complex interactions among multiple genes and the environment affect gene expression.

These interactions – known as epigenetic influences – include diet, chemical exposure, stress response, and the presence of other SNPs. A specialty diagnostic panel, which assays functional nutritional status, along with genetic SNPs, such as MTHFR, COMT, APOE, and TNF-a, aids the clinician in personalizing diet, lifestyle, and supplementation recommendations to positively impact physical and biochemical function

This presentation will focus on the understanding of genetic predispositions and personalized nutritional needs.

In this webinar we will focus on the following:

1. Developing a general understanding of nutrigenomics
2. How to combine the basics of genetics with nutrition
3. Applying nutrigenomics through various examples
4. Learn about specialty lab testing for specific SNPs

Sound Healing and Nutrition for the Advanced Practitioner with Niki Grartix, BA Dip ION NANP

In this webinar Niki Gratrix shares the cutting edge science behind sound therapy and the use of tuning forks to stimulate stem cells for physical rejuvenation, shift epigenetic expression toward health, transmute blocked emotions and improve heart rate variability. She shares how this work potentiates and enhances functional health and nutrition strategies leading to profound synergistic benefits for our clients.

Both dancing to music and listening to it have been shown time and time again to reduce stress levels, release endorphins and bring the nervous system into a more balanced and health-promoting state. This calmer state of being is incredibly helpful for reducing blood pressure, slowing breathing and heart rate, thus having a knock-on effect to the whole body and everything we do with it, like sleeping better, making healthier food choices, feeling more energized, and generally being a little more content. Well consider that a tuning fork can do all of this and more!

Just like an instrument gets out of tune, so does the human body. Stress, accidents, injuries and traumas all put noise in our signal and make us out of tune. As practitioners we know that the body is physical when we think of our bones or organs and we know that it's chemical when we think about hormones or blood but we're also electrical and that's something that's often overlooked. When someone gets an EKG, they're measuring the electrical activity in the heart or an EEG is measuring the electrical activity in the brain which suggests that we need our electrical signaling to work properly in order to function.

Amino Acid Therapy for Mental Wellness with Christina Veselak, LMFT, CN

Christina Veselak is a licensed Psychotherapist, and Mental Health Nutritionist. She is the Owner, Director & Instructor at The Academy for Addiction and Mental Health Nutrition.

Nutritional neuroscience is an emerging discipline shedding light on the fact that nutritional factors are intertwined with human cognition, behavior, and emotions. Deficiencies in neurotransmitters such as serotonin, dopamine, noradrenaline, and γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) are often associated with increased sadness and anxiety, loss of appetite, depressed mood, and a loss of interest in pleasurable activities.

In this webinar we will learn about amino acid therapy and nutrition for mental wellness. This powerful modality identifies and supports nutritional and biochemical causes of symptoms such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, addictive cravings, detox and withdrawal, pain and fatigue, using diet, nutrients, hydration, sleep, exercise and stress reduction to support life-long wellness.

How to Get Consistent Monthly Clients by Creating a Very Simple Sales Funnel With Gwen Warren NT, BANT
Gwen Warren is a qualified UK Nutritional Therapist managing her two businesses Biting Fit and Business Fit.

This webinar will address practitioner concerns around their frustrations with generating consistent clients. It will go into detail emphasizing why most practitioners are only able to generate a “trickle” of ad hoc clients every month rather than enjoying a consistent flow of regular paying clients each month.

It will also address the specific methods and models practitioners can use to create a very simple business model or sales funnel without the overwhelm. Practitioners often think they need to spend months creating complex business plans and models with complicated tech to become successful, but this webinar aims to encourage practitioners that simplicity is the key.

The webinar will cover both the practical step-by-step approach to implementing a simple model that generates consistent monthly clients as well as offering an abundance of ideas and specific examples for how they can make it work for their particular market or client base.

At the end of the webinar, attendees will be very clear on the type of simple model that will work for them and their client base/market, and also exactly how to start putting it into place straight away.
They will also be very clear as to where they need to focus their time and attention to easily attract clients as part of the process rather than constantly chasing for clients. It will help give them a clear sense of direction.

Practitioners will also learn about common mistakes and what they need to avoid doing if they want to succeed in generating a steady stream of clients each month.

Hives, Headache and Heartburn: Heal Your Histamine Hangover with Beverley Rider, PhD NC

There’s so much more to histamine than meets the (itchy) eye! Balancing histamine involves more than just a low-histamine diet (LHD).

Restoring the body long-term involves asking why histamine is out of balance and addressing the functional root cause.

In this presentation Dr. Beverly Rider will guide you in identifying ways to rebalance histamine and ease suffering through practical shifts in diet, lifestyle, environment and supplementation.

After earning her PhD in Microbiology and Immunology, Beverley served Silicon Valley as a biotech scientist for over ten years. But when her daughter's health declined, she discovered the healing power of food and her passion for nutrition took off. Upon graduating from Bauman College and successfully cracking her daughter's and her own health code, she set out to help others untangle their "undiagnosable" conditions. Beverly now practices as a Nutrition Consultant in San Jose, CA educating and helping others with histamine excess, anxiety and migraines.
