Membership Categories
NANP offers three levels of membership. Click below to find the category of membership that’s right for you.
Professional Membership:
Professional members are those working within the nutrition profession and meet the educational standards appropriate for their role delineation.
Student Membership:
This membership is extended to those who are currently enrolled in an NANP-approved nutrition program or in a nutrition program at an accredited college or university. Proof of enrollment is required along with membership applications.
Associate Membership:
Associate membership is appropriate for graduates of dietary supplement education programs who have successfully passed the Certified Dietary Supplement Professional™ (CDSP™) exam. This member category is also appropriate for graduates of occupational certification programs in holistic nutrition that do not meet NANP’s educational standards for Professional membership and whose scope of practice does not legally include nutritional counseling (for example Health Coaches, Massage Therapists, Psychologists, Fitness Trainers, Personal Coaches).
Expanding Your Credentials…
For Professional members who wish to add to their credentials, we recommend applying to sit for the exam to become Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition®. Click here to learn more about Board Certification.
The Certified Dietary Supplement Professional™️ (CDSP™️ ) designation is a credential that allows for the advisement of consumers on the use of dietary supplements for purposes of basic health and wellness. Click here to learn about the CDSP™️ certification.
